Snow Covered Pines

When you book with Baldface, you are in for a multiple-day adventure in British Columbia's mountain playground. In order to maximize this fantastic experience, we recommend that you undertake the following program 4 to 6 weeks prior to your departure.

Our physical therapist Damien Moroney has provided us with a comprehensive stretch and strengthening program to prepare your body for maximum performance and reduce your chances of fatigue or injury.

The program has been divided into 2 sessions. It is advised that you try to do at least 4 sessions per week (2 of Session A and 2 of Session B).

Each workout session incorporates both stretching and strengthening. Each strength exercise is broken down into beginner, intermediate and advanced with suggested goals for each exercise. Personalize the workout to your individual level of fitness. Remember, good body position and control is more important than how many or for how long you hold an exercise. These exercises should not be painful. If you are having excessive difficulty, please contact a professional in your area for assistance.

If you have had any recent injuries, surgeries or medical concerns, consult your physician prior to starting this conditioning program.

Damien Moroney

Damien Moroney currently works as a Physical Therapist in a clinical practice in Nelson, BC.  He has provided consulting services to the B2Ten Olympic Athlete Development Program, the Montreal Canadiens NHL Hockey Team, the Canadian Athletic Coaching Centre (National team 100m, 200m and 400m sprinters), Cirque Du Soleil (Alegria), Hockey Canada (Women’s National Team Program), and Red Bull Canada (Professional Skiers, Snowboarders and Mountain Bikers).
