After spending 14 straight days riding deep, blower pow at Baldface (over 200 cms), I was still ready for more! I didn't want to leave and it was so difficult for me to unbuckle my snowboard bindings after the last run of the trip and return to reality. Over 120 first track runs later and I just can't get enough. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm addicted to the Baldface pow. I live in Hong Kong and don't get many days on-hill but I spend more days at Baldface then at any other mountain. I make the sacrifices necessary to do that because going to Baldface is worth every single penny. I'm proud to call Baldface my local hill."
Baldface Photography Service
A professional photographer will join your group to shoot photos, which will then entertain the crowd in a nightly slideshow on the big screen.
Once guests select the photos they'd like to take home, the photographers process all photos on site and offer CDs for purchase.
With great pride, Baldface introduces Kathryn Gardner, Ryan Flett and Rob Plato as our official photographers. You will get to know them as they snap your best powder face. Each shares equal passion for photography and powder skiing. They are positive they have the best jobs in the world.
Photographer Bios
Ryan Flett:
Ryan, who was born and raised in Nelson, graduated with a Tourism Management degree from Camosun College in 2007. It remains crystal clear, however, that his true passion lies in skiing and photography. His goal is to capture the beauty and emotion that he feels in the wilderness and it is his hope that when guests show off their Baldface pictures at home, they will say "That is exactly what it was like."
Rob Plato:
After completing a photography program in Vancouver in 2005, Rob has found his home shooting photos in the ski world and has been published in various ski magazines. In between ski seasons, Rob travels while practicing his art. He looks forward to a powdery winter at Baldface, striving for that elusive, epic faceshot every trip.
